Starting to see ammo online, and Bass Pro Bossier had quite a bit out yesterday.

If the same fricking old men that sit in front of Academy and other places would quit buying their limits every day we would go back to semi normal in a few months.

Where is the pricing at? I bought 100 rounds of 9mm 115fmg the other day for $30 and thought I got a bargain.

The key is, we must stop buying once the shortage starts to end. Must drive the price back down or it will remain high. Doubt it happens though

100% true. There's being prepared and there's addiction. You don't need 50,000 rounds of ammo.

These are the same type of people that were buying toilet paper every day.
I showed up at Costco early, started talking to the guy in front of me. He said he’s there every morning when they open to buy toilet paper. It is an addiction with some people.

Was in Dallas the other day during the ice storm and the bass pro had a truckload come in and the shelves were pretty stocked

I’ve only ever known expensive ammo I’m afraid I’ll go off the deep end when things are “normal”. Before all this what was a competitive price on FMJ 5.56, 300 BO and 9mm?

ETA: I said this in another thread but I did go to academy in the middle of the day and they had plenty of 223 from their shipment that morning. I guess we need some of this sustained and the people who have raised prices will let them fall back down.

its the old people who are buying it up and running straight to the pawn shop to sell it. Profit?

My brother and I would scope Academy during the last ammo shortage and the same 3 or 4 70 year old men would be sitting in the parking lot every Tuesday waiting for it to open and each buy their max in .22 bricks, they did this for months.

More than anything- the COVID-19 is responsible for this- things will loosen up shortly.

I got one box of 200 rounds of 9mm for $50 at Academy about 3 weeks ago. They only sold me a box because I bought a gun... they were holding some ammo for gun purchasers.

Roughly a quarter a round, about 30-40 cents a round, and 17-18 cents a round, respectively, for FMJ. Self defense and hunting rounds were, obviously, more expensive, but you don't burn through 200 JHP in a range session, so that doesn't really matter.
