He isn't a friend

He is a neighbor who paid me for some private lessons a few months back

Guy is a combat vet, young, and honestly struggles with addiction and depression

He told me once that he doesn't have many friends so he will walk over and shoot the shite on the couch from time to time



He is giving me the "man you are my friend I would never do that" but his story makes no frickin sense

Then john just clarified something: I thought he entered my garage door and exited the window but john said no, he banged on garage door then walked around to enter window

So he knew that window was open

Then the bs story about cables, john said he faked called me, he admitted to exiting the window but said the only reason he got the idea was because of the mulch trail.

Sounds like a dope head trying to keep a story straight. Even if that were halfway believable, why would he be in the spare bedroom anyway?

He passed the backdoor and the front door on his way to the spare room. The spare room door stays shut, so what sense would it make for him to walk in there to even notice a trail of mulch?

Dope head bullshite trying to justify his breaking in, his strange exit, and his reason for being in my bedroom at my desk

I hate to hear that bro. Hope you get both items back. I don't know that the threat of a beating from an "expert" would deter an addict but it sure as shite would to an ordinary thief.

Start checking the local pawn shops . If they are there the will have the Id on file who brought them in. They have to hold the items for a certain time before they can sell them. Your local law enforcement also gets a list of all items brought into pawn shops monthly. Sounds like you got your perp though already

Drug addicts are a whole different breed.
They have no friends and no conscience.
My worker is one.
His drug friend who I barely know shows up at my house Saturday and when I asked what he wanted, he rubs his fingers together like "money".
Told him he wasn't getting any at which point he made a move to walk into my house, with a mean look on his face, which would have been his last moments of his miserable existence.
Sorry for the rant, but they are just a different breed.....your guns should be easily recovered since you have that much info. Good Luck
