Body filler will stick as long as the truck is around. That shite ain't no joke. Patch and bondo job on my old ranger had been there for 15+ years.

But definitely have someone tap it out first. The alternative is tapping in a small screw into the dent, pulling out by said screw, removing said screw, then putting a thin layer of bondo, patching screw hole.

Girl was already detained in the back of the cop car when I came outside to see my truck. Some very weird shite went down afterwards, but I don't want to post online right now. I'll share details afterwards or on backchannels.

Bent the frame? Damn, you sure they won't just total it?

my buddy does total frame replacements for several reputable body shops in the Denham Springs area.

Frames are usually replaced and if they aren't replacing yours I would demand to have it replaced or have the body shop it's at write up so much in supplemental that they end up totaling it out.

I don't know a lot about collision repair on frames. Their whole shpeal to me was that Ford has specific frame measurement points and specifications for what is in tolerance. And if they can get it back within specification, what ground do I have to stand on? If I notice something odd when I'm driving or alignment is all off, I think I might have something...but I don't know how to counter that.

From my experience, Bent frame usually equals Totaled. I would not want the problems that come with having a bent frame again

I've only had one truck that wound up with a bent frame and that was my old '75 silverado that I tried to turn into a tree stand. The front horns on the frame were all that was bent, luckily, and I was able to get it straight on a frame puller on one side, but had to cut one side off and weld a new horn on the driver side. It drove fine, but the transmission went out a few years after and I just scrapped it since I already had a new daily driver.

I have Geico also, and they are very reasonable to deal with. I had to get my wifes car fixed after an accident. I had/have a body repair guy on retainer basicaly and all I had to do was take it to the shop Geico wanted for the estimate and then take the car to my friend.

Yeah I'm not either, but if someone bent my frame and it wasn't totaled, I'm suing for enough to cover a new truck.

I'm not going to deal with a truck that's always going to have issues bc some drunk bitch ran into me.

I would be more pissed that your rates are about to go up in the next 6 months!!! Bent drive axle and rear axle are almost always a complete loss to insurance groups. Go get some beers and see if the bitch that hit you will let you PIIHB!

You may have alot of trouble getting an adjuster to total it. That would basically require the damage estimate to be 80-85% (depending on your policy rules) of the vehicle's value. I've seen body shops replace a frame on a newer truck before.

I honestly don't know of a reputable collision shop that would do it any better than Champs. They seem like good folks.

if it's the BR Champs, they're good guys over there

That's the old way. Now they tack on copper pins with a stud welder and pull it out. No holes in sheet metal.

If the frame is bent in the front or middle of the truck, they usually total. If it's bent in the bed area,...

Being such an expensive truck I doubt they total it, which sucks in this case.

I'd be sick. It may not be a bad idea to do like somebody else said and sell it for a new one before it looses too much more value. Wrecked trucks are always a problem.
