Knee to the chest. If you knock the wind out of him you did it correctly and he will never jump again.

As others have said it's harder with guest because usually they stop instead of walking through the dog. It takes time, but he will eventually stop for the most part. My Golden still trys to hug guest from time to time, and he is 6.

Have the same issue despite a good knee to the chest, or having the E collar on. He’s just too damn excitable some times

At what age though, I have a 3 month old boxer doing the same thing. Is it too early?? she is still very juvenile

Knee to the chest when they jump. Ease up the power level until you have to kick them across the room. Dogs are smart and they learn that it hurts, it may take some a little more time to remember though.

Keep doing it, and up the force next time. I wouldn't use a collar for this. Dogs know when they have a collar on, and act appropriately when they do (and vise versa)
