1 - you are way too frickin anal about a little dust, itys a boat, not your kitchen table dude 
2 - go clean you frickin garage before you leave and then there wont be any problems. why the hell is your garage is so filthy if you are sterilizing your boat like its brand new after each use? these two things dont go together
3 - ask FIL to just hose out the garage instead of sweep it out if its so dirty he feels the need to clean it. water hose means no dust to fly around, but them im sure you would be here bitching he got your trailer tires dirty wouldnt you
