For different snapper out of
Cocodrie
Cypremort point
Usual places that aren't far or around 50ft on good days. Not interested in any other area.. Not looking for Bluewater, just far enough to bag some mangroves and red snapper?
Update: I'm not asking for any secret spots just some popular near offshore spots boats frequent was it. Not that I have any issue giving my exact spot I caught fish too and I have below...

You want someone on TD to drop a pin to where their fishing spot is at?

Rigs and platforms are not secrets. The secret to a good fisherman is knowing tide, wind , moon location
and deciding which bank area or reef area your gonna fish. Your comments are very elementary. I belong to 2 fishing sites and we all share. A good fisherman doesn't worry about who knows what spots. I'm a lifetime speck fisherman, got a bigger boat recently and want to add in some snapper some times.

Wow. You seem like a real expert. Do you mind sharing some of that knowledge with us? Most of us here are just arm chair warriors. Not real fishermen like you.

If you know the secret to being a good fisherman you wouldn’t be asking on Tigerdroppings

This isn’t one of those sights.
There are 100s or more that read these boards and never post and would have no issues whatsoever of taking anything posted and cleaning a spot out.

I find that talking down to people is exactly how I get others to help me.

I’ll help ya out with our secret spot.
Look for somewhere that’s between 10ft and 5,000ft deep. Water color somewhere between mud brown and cobalt blue. Somewhere between 1-250 miles offshore. Look for some structure/reef and drop a line
But seriously, it’s really not that hard to do your own leg work and find them.

Come on man,, I mean if he would have asked for some tactics and techniques he would have gotten some good info. Maybe even would have gotten a rig location or two...

Cypremort point- go due south until you hit 100ft of water. Find a platform. Drop cut bait throughout the water column and look at the fishfinder to locate fish.
Very easy fish to catch.

Leave marina and head south, once into gulf, steer boat in a westwardly direction back to Texas. You can stay over there after that.

If you head offshore, there’s some good platforms at N 33.99873 x W92.58931.

Cocodrie
Wellheads in lake pelto
Beach in last island
Horseshoe on West side
Move around, also look for birds.
Point
Tee butte
Box car
Diamond reef
Keys
I go on the right days and usually I only need to go to the box car and tee butte to get a mess of trout
I use live shrimp mostly carolina rigged or under a rattle cork. I also use touts(tandem rigs) if we find a school that is loaded with fish. For plastics ill switch until the right color hits...
On a side note
Best attractant on the planet is Jack's juice shrimp scent
