I wish they would build their single shot in a .35 Whelen

much better than Remlins

Let's hope that Ruger does a better job with Marlin.

Was at the gun store y-day picking up a pistol ad they had a Winchester lever action special edition (or something like that) in .22.

I would have walked out with it except it was $1000.

My brother had one that was an amazing gun.

Some of those models look like copies.

The action is very marlin-esq. My brother had a .30-30 that was a minute-of-paper plate rifle, where every marlin I've ever shot was a 2" or better shooter.

I love that they're doing side gates and removable tubes. Perfect little rifles.

I really want a 357 lever.

It looks like a combination of fun but able to bag a deer or hog if needed.

With marlin being bought by ruger, will the quality be brought back up?

I have one of the newer 336, ~8-9 yrs old. You can tell the quality isn’t there but I kill more hogs with that rifle than anything else.

I’ve got one of the first side gates they released in 30-30w. My favorite firearm. Smooth as silk. I can work the lever with just two fingers, quick little flick. I want another one. I’ve thought about that .357 too, and I don’t have to lose it in a tragic boating accident.

I'm very interested to put my hands on one. Ruger loves then a cast frame and I expect they might try a cast frame 336. Either way, I imagine there will be new tooling involved.

As a whole, ruger has my favorite catalog out there right now. Bring back the red label!

The remlin quality wasn't all that bad, they get way more hate than they deserve. Supposedly Marlin had shite profit margins because the rifles were being built on dogged out tooling and required lots of hand fitting.

Eta: Henry quality on the other hand is what it is. Every one I've put my hands on has been a well put together rifle. I really like their product line.

I want a big boy side gate .45 colt

Same problem, no earthly idea what I would use it for other than plinking/shooting and teaching some kids to shoot. Those are really good reasons to get one. If i didn't owe the wife some Christmas presents, I'd definitely get myself one

My 50+ year old Marlin .22 works flawlessly and has never even been cleaned. So that’s pretty good.

God I hope the 39A comes back the way it should be back. I'm jealous of everyone who owns one. They are such awesome rifles.

It can't be a $2000 custom shop rifle like it is now.
