A lot of trap guns are singles.

My son is transition to trap next year with 4-h. I have a 12 gauge Lc smith, trap grade double barrel with 30” barrels he might shoot if he has enough arse on him to swing it
Start him now doing 100 lifts a night, meaning start with the barrel on the floor (with an pad) close the gun and come to a set position.
Do that 100 times.
Kind of curious how my son will do going from 26" to 32" barrel. The weight should be too different but it will take more effort getting those barrels moving.

I have 2 Ruger O/U, one is a 26" 20 gauge, other is a 30" 12 gauge with 5 chokes. I shoot the 20 as often as 12, find them both to feel light and they swing well, have really enjoyed both of them. I don't think either are in production anymore but have never had a problem with them.

I don’t think Ruger has made the red label in several years.

Beretta silver pigeon 20 gauge is 19 years old and still great gun.
Shoot pheasants with it and woodcock. 20 ga can kill anything a 12 can.worth every penny.
You can find used ones or a better price. If it is still tight when open it it is good to go.
I could sell mine for at least what I bought for new.

I really want to get the 828u. Everyone told me to get a browning or beretta but I want to shoot the 828u before I buy anything. Can’t find anywhere to let me shoot it

My boss gives these to his buddies as retirement gifts.
I had never heard of them and saw one in his truck and he told me what he does and I was like oh cool not thinking much about it... And then I went and looked them up and was like holy shite, he takes retirement seriously.

what gauge, barrel length, etc? I'd just keep it, use it for rabbits, doves, clays, etc, unless you just need the money.

I just ordered my son a Browning Citori with 32" barrels and adjustable comb.
Posted on 2/27/20 at 8:34 am to bbvdd
This is the exact gun I’m looking at. Citori 32” with adjustable comb.
I thought 30” until I went and swung both, the 32” is unbelievable.
My current decision I’m torn on, well 2 really:
1: 12 v 20
2: get combo with two sets of barrels ($3,500) or buy insert gauges to include a 28 ($800/set).

What are you using it for?
My buddy just let me know that the gun is in. Thinking I may run over this afternoon and get it.

Everything except big ducks. Primarily sporting clays and occasionally dove and teal.

Don’t get sub gauge barrels for a 12 gauge gun. Normally the 20 gauge barrels throw off the Ballance and weigh more than the 12 gauge configuration. There is no advantage.
