I've killed a couple near the river there that were 230-240 range.

We hunted there from about 88 or 89 up into at least about 93 id say. I was with a group of us from DeRidder mainly and I was kin folk from Amite at the time.

There were so many deer on Glass Cock. It was insane hunting. To this day some of the best river bottom hunting I ever experienced in our state was across that levy down in there.

235 lb buck in Madison Parish. 300 lb buck in Kansas. We didn’t weigh the Kansas buck, but he had to be around 300. Huge.

200 lb 6 point (should have been 8, but had broken tines). Dude was a pain to drag 100 yards from the end of the plot to the truck, but the meat was worth it.

174# doe was my first deer. Never understood til I got older why all the old men at camp was going on and on about how big she was. I just figured they were trying to pump me up since I was a kid who’d just killed their first deer. Ain’t killed one that big since in 30+ years of hunting since

286lb 152” around Woodville. Loaded that big bastard on my 4wheeler by myself. I was sore for days.

255. Killed in 1971 in old Indian Bayou Hunting Club. Killed a Mulie we did not weigh that would have been around 275.
