I follow the Big Green Egg FB page and there is a guy grilling Bobcat. I never knew this was a thing.

I have read that they are very good by people that have eaten them.Me,I don’t think I want to eat a cat or a dog but people in some countries like them. It’s really all in your head if you think about it.I like alligator, turtle, frog legs but I wouldn’t eat rattlesnake, people I know that have eaten them say they’re good.Same with horse,I don’t want to eat them but there is really no difference than a cow, they both eat grass.I’ve eaten beaver, they’re very good but people I’ve told about it freaked out.I’ve never eaten nutria,I’m told they are good.In some states people eat black bears but not grizzlies,I don’t see a difference in them, however I don’t want to eat either one.

I've never eaten it, however, recently (within the last 10 years or so) I have developed a desire to do such. In my younger days (early in my career/college days), I trapped a good bit as well as worked for the local fur shack skinning furbearers. I've caught quite a few and skinned many more. They are very lean and have very light colored meat. Some of the large males smelled like cat piss. Old school and western trappers rave about bobcat and mountain lion meat. I will try it one day.

I have tried rattle snake once and I’d have to say I was surprised. Not bad at all.

One day I blackened a fresh water drum because I was told that the 1-2 pounders dont taste as strong as the bigger ones, needless to say I cannot eat anything blackened anymore thanks to that dreadful day. If someone knows what they’re doing, I’d eat the cat
