I went by there earlier today and the one guy working in the fishing department was busy talking football with some guy while I was struggling to find something. I left and ordered from tackle warehouse.

I went in there about a month ago because I needed some big hooks and jigheads that Academy didn't have and didn't have time to order them or else I would have. There was probably 3 other customers in the place, the girl at the checkout counter looked bored as hell. I wonder what they'll put in there once they close down.

I was at bass pro during lunch and they don't seem to be doing much better. Several employees asked me if I needed anything but it was just me and an old guy in fishing. Specialty retail stores like that are getting crushed by online retailers. The only reason I was there was to get something I wanted to have to fish this weekend and having it shipped would have been borderline. I still was disappointed in what they had and barely spent anything compared to what I probably will eventually at TW when I can pick out exactly what I want.

I always found the Gander here in Palm Beach Gardens to be cheaper than the BPS in Davie. Was sad to see it close.

I've found some thing on clearance at F&S, but the rest of that store is s.o.l.

I can honestly say I haven't shopped there since they decided to hire gun control advocates and I use to buy a good bit of ammo there on the cheap.

I haven’t stepped foot in there since their press release awhile back. Not a big exaggeration on their parking lot compared to Academy. No idea how they’re making it here.
eta: It’s going to suck for that shopping center. No idea what would fill that much space.

4-5 Years ago when you couldn't find 22lr and 22mag, they were the only place in town that had it on the regular. It was my go-to and I didn't tell a soul.
