Yeti pulled their IPO recently.
It costs a lot to sponsor the " Friends of the NRA" so this might be more about $$$$.

I haven’t bought a Yeti product since the tumblers first came out... Why someone would pay 2-3x the cost of RTICS and other comparable brands is beyond my comprehension.

It looks like Yeti is pulling all comments about the NRA from their FB page, so the rumor is probably true.
Now that Yeti is owned by private equity firms crap like this was inevitable.
This is a huge marketing misstep. Alienating your core customers is never a good idea, even if no one ever actually bought your products and only received them as gifts.

The guy that owns Yeti recently bought Box Ranch in south central LS and leased the surrounding 20k acres including our place. May have to consider opening it to bids when the lease expires

Many years ago while driving home for my week off I happened to pass a brand new Academy sporting store's grand opening sale. The store in Houma was the first big sporting store in the area so I stopped in. They had 48 qt igloos on sale grand opening specials 5$ each. I bought 6 of them. hinges latches drains have been replaced many times. I always have a bunch of spare parts in a drawer in da shed. They are the perfect size cause fully loaded I cant carry the bigger ones any more. I hadda replace one of them that got burnt by accident. I still remember that day well cause I scored those ice chest and a bunch of 30 oz stainless coffee cups for 5$ each also. I passed them out for Christmas presents and still have and use one of them.
I got all 6 ice chests pluss all the parts and the coffee cups for less than the cost of one yeti

ahhhh NO, but I have one of those igloos sitting on the tool box in the back of my rusty ole jeep its my drink box. Occasional fish box too.
