Yeah the probably planned it.

The run from Lake Verret area down the intracoastal past a huge Hwy 90 bridge in Amelia and then to the Bayou Black area not that far. Even if you played stupid how blind do you have to be to not see a huge Hwy 90 bridge In Amelia.

Where does it stop someone’s buddy trailering to Toledo Bend for the winning stringer?
Then launch somewhere else giving them the bass.

Going back to the days of guys stuffing weights down a fishes throat?

That turns the avg guy off from bass fishing tournaments.

The challenge is where yes, you know there are guys a lot better than you in an area. If everyone plays by the rules even the little guy has small shot of winning.

its not far but not all "legal" bayou black fish look like that. Thats most likely from illegal marsh anyway. So not only did they break the south of 90 rule but they also were as I said most likely in illegal area fishing.
If you are fishing marsh in bayou black chances are its illegal. And people that continue to do it is the reason we are losing entire canal systems because of it.
Just fish the canals and stay out the marsh or all we will have left is the intracoastal.

One of the baws last name was Bourg. He knew exactly where he was at. Peepaw and him were shooting coots down there since he was 4

The funny part is Bourg's facebook post, "It's awesome when all the scouting and hard work pays off". Give me a break you POS. No telling how many other tournaments he and his partner cheated in.

It was definitely intentional. They actually ran the long way around through Bayou Ramos instead of running straight down Belle River to Amelia.
They were trying to be coy, but got caught

The allure of a win was too much for them to bear. They definitely made a poor decision.

Wade Bourg’s FB is open and he still has pics up from the tournament. Looks like he and his partner both got $4500 checks and $525 for big bass.

cbr mentioned they returned the money. And it was mentioned they fish a good bit of tournaments, anyone know if they are being allowed to fish in the tournaments going forward?

I doubt they fish locally anymore, someone will recognize them and have them not participate in local tourneys.

Once your labeled a cheat in bass fishing tourneys your pretty much done.

Banned from FOM and Bourg, for sure, will not be allowed to fish Media. That was straight out of the TD mouth.

A FB post on LA Bass is blowing up right now. Fishermen will be protesting at any event they show up to for a while.

How you figure? They cheated and probably Would have kept the money had they not been ratted out. That is stealing in my book. I’d want them arrested!
