I went down to the Delacroix today. Actually saw 15 teal (one flock of 10, group of 3, and a pair) along with plenty mottled ducks and tree ducks. Seeing those fist migrating teal of the season got me excited!

Those Blue Wings get it done. Get up north late and show up in Louisiana early. And have a bunch of kids in between.

My earliest was July 28 about 4-5 year ago. Usually start to see them trickle in second week of August. Hope they keep coming and stick around with no storms or other reason to move on.

With all the fresh water down there and a lot of grass, they just might stack up as long as there is no storm.

Here is a pick of one of our blinds that needs to be brushed. Plenty grass in the water as of now.

I've been in Lake Tahoe for a week already, and I'm pretty sure I've found all of the Canada geese in the world. I can walk outside any time of the day and see huge flocks flying by

What area do you hunt? Hope Barry didn't kill the feed for Vermilion Parish marshes.

The pick with the grass is in Delacroix. It is thicker in some areas than others.

Full moon with a small front Wednesday should bring another push of teal South. Another Full Moon will take place right before the teal season opens. The Anticipation is building daily!!!

Grass looks great in Houma. I’m ready for some blue wings. Haven’t had a good teal season in a few years, always have high hopes though !

It’s so hot and humid right now if you killed one it would be medium rare. Damn near would have to clean it in the blind and immediately but it in an ice chest in the blind, I’m ready for November to get here!
