Go see Griff on the corner of hwy 1 and 182 and ask him if you could cut his roseaus on the bayouside.

I missed hunting this past weekend to take my son to the national rabbit convention, yes the joke writes itself. My buddy was getting twitchy at the number of mallards and pintails landing in the speck decoys. He said gobs of small ducks as well.

This is in NEA adjacent to the Cache river. I'll update more saturday.

Damm I just streetviewed that. That variety is the absolute best. I'd love to plant a patch of those.

I’ll be down with two utes likely to see us fishing the west side with you after finishing hunting. Gonna be windy so will likely need to fish the passes or river to have clean water

I dug some up a couple of years ago in the cross canal by lake bouef. They haven't taken off very well. I have some planted, but they aren't thick.

OG, we have some on our road that we cut, but that's a long haul to lake theriot. Don't even know if I will build my blind in there. I was told that the lake is wide open. My dad cut some for Mr. Craig for teal season.

Saw lots of teal and tree ducks today down river.

No mottled ducks for the first 15 days of the season has me a little worried with my eye site. Black duck, mottled duck look pretty damn close. I think Im gonna pass on those starting out. Teal and whistlers for me.

Yeah. Craig has all his blinds built pretty much already. I think they built around 11 blinds. They cut a lot of their rozo in des allemands of 90.

I have 3 left to build this weekend. I’m gonna go the fast grass route and put cda on the outside.

I heard lake Theriot is empty, but the big hole in dularge has some grass. How’s lake beouf ?

We’re not even seeing anything but resident ducks in Minnesota right now, I wouldn’t expect there to be strong numbers that far south yet.

This is concerning being I am hunting SW LA. LOL.

I took the dogs out this morning to walk around the lease. No water yet, pumping starting this weekend as our opener is the 9th. Didn't see any ducks other than squealers at the farm pond and no Specks. Few snipe in dry plowed fields.

Not looking good but I will be there because that is what I live for.

Pretty good number of cranes, ducks and geese are pretty thin and near the few water sources. Report from back home on lease in bayou black, 1 small group of teal and a few woodies. Plenty of feed, but it stops just south of lease.

I was working in NELA 2 days ago, and kept expecting to see a flight of specks at least. Never saw a single one or a duck.

Ran the river a few times in the last week, not a lot at dusk or dawn.

Hadn’t heard much from our lease in Little Chenier

Fished the lake about a month ago. Very little grass. One decent grass bed on the west side.
