Will the ducks be moving later in the day if the front moves through around 7am? Im thinking about going out and setting up around 10am when the front is passed. Is this a good idea?

It could be money, ya never know unless you're there. Have smashed them during the front and after before. Eve of thanksgiving 09 it would rain sideways, stop and the ducks literally fell out of the sky until the rain started again.
Good Luck

Front days are the best days to hunt all day. You never really know what you are gonna get. I've been in a blind on Catahoula lake before when at 2pm they showed up. Cant kill em at the house.

The 10-2 is a fine hunt on a bluebird front day.

I plan on hunting all day Saturday and Sunday if necessary. It is the last weekend and I'm still mad at them.

Have had some good hunts this year on random days going from 9 to 11. And this season has been slower than years past.

Had a sensational hunt last year from like 1230 to 1245 where couldn't keep the gun loaded because they were dropping in non stop. I think hunting sunrise isn't all that necessary. Yeah it might insure that first group of teal, but generally my later hunts produce more greys and they work better. I also prefer hunting 12 to 3 than say 3 to sunset. Guess my area isn't remotely close to the roost, because rarely do I have success in that last half hour.

On Sunday I'll leave marina at like 630, just because it will be blowing 30 plus and wont really know exactly what to expect with water levels.

They may be flying high or they maybe hungry and want to work. Never know.

Two of my most memorable hunts were in the heals of a huge cold front.

I’ve said it on here 100 times. A bunch of mallards working in the sunshine around noon when all is quite is God’s way of saying he loves you.

Our two best days we started to see ducks at 9am opening day, and 10am a few weeks later.

I’ve done really well mid morning to sunset on front days, especially on a full or close to full moon.

I always liked hunting from 12 hrs ahead of the front throughout the day it came in.
