I'm all about people going bowfishing and having fun. It just seems a little egregious seeing a fleet with 4-6 customers each going into the wma at sunset. It was pretty eye opening.

There were 11 barges with at least 15 led lights facing the water and 2-3 surface drives on the back. Some had a surface drive/ outboard combo

The 2 best baits we have found are fresh mullet and fresh Asian carp for big catfish. You'll need to be good at throwing a cast net . The last time we went (about a month ago) we caught 6 over 30 in an hour.

We went out of fourchon and did pretty well. 60 trout ranging 12-17inches 3 reds and a couple black drum. Trout were everywhere we stopped. They were biting still at 12 but the birds stopped working. All plastics under corks. Beautiful morning.

Just curious. At what height does the river need to be for the river to start clearing up in venice?

I went this weekend and ran a trot line about 40 yds from the bank and caught 4 doz in about 2 hrs each day. It sucks until around 6pm then they turn on.

Fished the beach on friday morn and caight 45 keepers.
Sat morn we finished with 70 keepers
Sun morn we wanted to leave earlier so we finished with 56.
The beaches were getting almost completely fresh by sat/sun. Find the salty water and youll find the fish. The bite usually ended around 9. Never seen so many shrimp getting popped at the top by specks.
