When I went it was opening weekend of teal season at catahoula, and I've heard that's about as bad as it gets.

What if I was painting my face and hands long before the show came out? Should I stop?

I went with my buddy who has been a public land duck hunter his whole life. I had no clue what I was in for.

We had to walk a longgggg ways through that shite on the edge of the lake to get away from everybody after they started moving in, but we killed limits wayyyyy before they were done. That was some skyblasting SOBs.

Yeah catahoula is like the welfare office after a hurricane.

And they love to sky blast

I'd never seen anybody skyblast teal before in my life.

And we saw some idiots blasting at pintails in the stratosphere.

Sad thing is that it was mostly grown arse men. According to my buddy most of them had probably been doing the same dumb shite their whole lives.

Hunted public land for teal season. Had a guy set up about 60 yards from us blowing a damn mallard call as hard as he could. Sounded horrible. Every flock flared from him, and flew right to us. A couple hits of my whistle and they were flocking in. We had a limit by 7, and he told us he was hunting our spot in the morning, because "they weren't working worth a damn"

Absolutely, last time someone did it in the blind with me I painted cat whiskers on my face. I don't stare at the birds, if I do have to look at them I'm looking through the brush. If I'm in timber I'll just wear a mask.

ETA: Choirboy, you're the exception not the rule, you actually know what you're doing

I just don't paint my face period. It's too much hassle. I will wear a face mask.

I will if it's not cold, or if I'm in my layout blind. Easier not having to wear a mask.

You see a bunch of goobers with face paint on but no paint on their hands. You move your hands more than anything
