For a quick dinner on the island, Starfish cafe. If you want some great food, stop at Me-maws in Golden Meadow on the way in or out.

Hurricane Hole is a nice spot. Music in the back lots of the time and 13 year old might enjoy walking around the marina and seeing the big boats.

Best food after that, in my opinion, is Jo-Bobs. Which is sad, it's a gas station. Damn good shrimp poboy and chicken tenders though.

Lighthouse should be getting close, I saw the building has signs up now. But it wont be open when you're there.

Starfish or Tommy's. HH is ridiculously overpriced and not that good last time I went.

The new lighthouse restaurant should be opening soon too.

If it’s Thur-sat, i like grabbing dinner and a drink on top of grand isle marina. Solid grocery when their full menu is available and the lil tiki bar is fun.

Starfish is the best food and good pricing IMO.

Hurricane hole is greatly overpriced and shitty portions.

Joebobs is the most overrated place on the island, it's not bad, but it ain't as good as people claim.

Jo Bobs use to have damn good food. They have changed the chicken and pizza after the hurricane. It’s not good anymore.

They had decent food before Katrina, it’s horrible now. I’m looking forward to Lighthouse reopening.

I do miss Toupsie’s in Fourchon. That was by far the BEST restaurant in that area.

Hurricane hole has the best hangout place while waiting hands down. Problem is person that used to work there left and some of the menu items changed. And not for the better.

Yums has stepped up their food but very small place.

But something quick you really only have starfish and jobobs. Nothing special but if ya hungry will work.

Reminder, you have to be 21 yrs old+ to enter due to the gaming machines placed inside. If you have kids you can still order, but you must eat outside or get it to go….ask me how I know.

HH is overpriced smaller portions and food quality is way down. Tommys and starfish is probably the best you are going to get. Last I heard, Lighthouse is waiting on some booths to be delivered and will be opening soon.

And even though she made a little patio area, it's still way too hot for that.

I found Hurricane Hole to be lacking last year, but I think it has been much better this year for whatever reason. It's more expensive, but it's a lot nicer place than most on island.

Tommy's is straight trash. Starfish has been slow as molasses every time I've ever been.

Looking forward to having Lighthouse back, they were pretty solid.

Kelli was the cook at Hurricane Hole when they first opened. She left and opened Yum's.

Yes.

I think she realized that it was getting too much demand at yums and decided to do more of a bar/restaurant than just a place too eat.
