If she drives it at 100 MPH with diesel in it, she'll get infinity gas mileage. Thank her for looking out for your wallet.

Random question, green is for gas in Louisiana? Here in Texas most stations are black handle for gas, green for diesel. So if she’s swearing it was green which is supposed to be the right color, she’d be pumping diesel at most gas stations in Texas.

Only 1 gas station here in Ellic and the handles are not green.

I was all screwed up when I went to Alabama. They have green gas handles and black diesel handles. Luckily my little diesel car had this flapper that prevented you from using a fuel nozzle that was too small. Almost filled up the ol gay car with gasoline.

black is gas, non ethanol are blue, ethanol are yellow and diesel are green. In my experience if the diesel pump is at the regular pump its the regular size. the only larger ones I have encountered are at the stand alone diesel pumps.

wont run as smooth, have a little less power, "maybe" a little smoke but overall she wont notice much difference, its not anything to worry about with such a small amount.
had she filled it up it may have stopped running though until you flushed the lines out and drained the fuel tank since diesel doesnt burn like gas does

In the old days of low pressure fuel systems and mechanical injectors, people would mix in a little gas in their Diesel every so often to clean the plungers and injectors.

Aren't there several? Last Chance at Vandenburg on 28 and the place on corner of 28 and Heyman come to mind.

Negative. About the same as running seafoam.
A metric shite ton of seafoam.
I'd dump a can of chemtool in the tank to help the flashpoint and let it ride.

O2 sensors will get most of the damage and probably foul which isn't a bad deal at all.

Ive read up on this quite a bit since my company had had some issues with gas in diesels, which is bad bad, however diesel in gas will lower your octane and you may get some knocking. If she filled it all the way up, either siphon out some of the fuel and replace with 93 octane or add some octane booster additive.
*****If you do the opposite and add gas to a diesel, stop, don’t turn on the engine, don’t drive, don’t do shite other than call a wrecker and have the tank purged and cleaned*****

We had a girl in HS who her parents bought her a brand new Volvo. She was very ditzy and filled her diesel car with unleaded.
Few minutes up the road, the car slung a rod and was history.

Update.
She had not filled up with gas like I told you guys. I misunderstood her. So, it just sat all day with $4 of diesel. I told her to drive to the nearest station and fill up with Supreme. She did, and had to stop for various things a few times on the way home. On one start up, the engine appeared to struggle a bit, and smoked a lot. Once if got past that, no additional issues.

I think I have posted this before but I found this out in a big way with my wifes vehicle. She filled up our BMW X5 diesel with regular E87 gasoline from empty to full.
After driving about 2 miles, car dies and I get the call. My first question when I pull up, "did you happen to put gas in the tank".... Her first answer "I'm not stupid"....
$8,500 later, the BMW drives like new.

Exactly what happened to my vehicle.

That's the thing though, she would need to do it a few hundred times to do that.
