A guy at work hunts in a bow hunting only club. He said he's going to let me hunt a few times this year. It's 2000 acres and he said 10 guys hunt it. The lease is $500/y. Is that a reasonable price?

Near morgan city. And I'm not saying I'm joining, just trying to figure out what's reasonable. Even if I do join it will be after several hunts. It's stand hunting, not that far from where I live. Didn't know what leases go for.

If it has an O.K. deer population, isn't complete soft bottom hell, and doesn't have rediculous rules it sounds good to me.

Cool. He said it's pretty dry. He walks to his stands but others use atvs. I'll check it out this year as a guest and make a decision.

One thing that sucks is that it's in the city limits or something, so no guns at all (even for squirrel).

Still very cheap if there is only 10 people hunting it. In my hood, land is going $30-$35 an ac.

500 is what I pay for 7 on 600 acres. 2000-3000 is just out right crazy. I would buy my own lkand or hunt public before I ever pay that for something I do not own

Hell, my friends are paying 43/acre I'm st francisvile. Sounds like a marsh lease. Some COs split fur and feather on those places. That's about right for something towards the atch delta, if you can get to it without a boat it's a steal.
