What's the OB's opinion on this? I always bring a few cold ones with me on evening hunts.

I pack an ice chest for morning hunts too. But I usually don't crack my first one until 9:30 or so.

I drink a few on the stand, morning and evening, and piss off the side the stand.

I don't mind having a few beers on an afternoon hunt in a box stand on private land. I'm talking a six pack at most and enjoying the afternoon. I know my limits and a six pack will not phase me with respect of consuming it and being worried about shooting a gun.

Where I hunt you can drink all you want and hunt all you want, but once you start drinking you have to stop hunting. You might call me a goodie too shoe, but alcohol and gunpowder don't mix

Not a goodie two shoe, you are an adult. There is a time and place for both, and I have done more than my share of both, just not at the same time.

I don't mix guns and alcohol. Whether you know your limits or not, shite happens.

Oh boy. I remember the original thread about this

I've bad a few evening hunts with an ice chest. Mixing some crown and cokes in a box stand or having a few cold beers. No harm as long as you're not getting hammered. I don't really like the idea of it for the "brown it's down" crowd though. Biggest mistake I'll make is shooting a buck I may not have normally shot. There are people that shoot at movement in the bushes when sober so maybe they don't need a drink

It's all fun and games till you walk to the back of your truck to get a beer and take a leak and leave the spot light on face down on your seat. No Bueno.

I can guess, but I'd rather here it from you lol

I don't drink in the deer stand...but I'm definitely not against a few beers. Just never really decided to take an ice chest with me at 5 in the morning lol.

I already bring too much shite and have to piss too often anyway. Not that I'm against it when done in moderation, but I've seen it go too far with some others. Personally, I'd rather drink around a fire, around a skinning rack, or over a black pot when I get back to the camp.

Firearms and alcohol don't mix. I don't care if people drink after hunting, but while hunting, It's a no go. I haven't had an issue with it though so far.

I like to do the same thing, but with driving in stead of hunting.

B.S. I suppose a six pack doesn't affect your driving either.
