We had 9 on a 36 contender overnighter this past weekend. Captain is a friend and it was still pretty comfortable fishing.

There are plenty of boats in Orange Beach that do 24/36hr overnight tuna trips. You usually get two bites of fishing for the tuna and will also stop and get your bottom fish on the way back. Plenty of boats large enough to accomadate 10 comfortably. The price is anywhere between 4500 & 6500 plus tip.

The Sea Hunter Capt. Ricky McDuffie is one of the best Captain on the Gulf.

What if we moved it from Venice to Orange Beach? Are there more boats that are capable of 10? Or is 10 for tuna unrealistic?

Wouldn't be a waste to come to OB. I've lived here for almost 15 years and have vacationed /Fished from here for 30yrs.

There are multiple big boats that have great success on overnight 24-36hr trips. You'll catch a wide variety of fish, Tuna, Mahi, wahoo, maybe a blue, and they always load you up with bottom fish AJ, Scamp, Grouper, snapper and etc. on the way back.

Not a waste of time if you have low expectations

This, I bet only 6 actually show up. It's funny how people bail on offshore trips.

Well if dropping a Text saying "850 per person and we would like to go early Sept" doesn't deter some then I don't know what will

I'd bail

The amount of money people spend for ONE day of fishing amazes me.

But to each his own.

you got to factor in the beer, food, lodging, "entertainment", and the lifetime supply of AIDs treatment for the groom.

Capt. Dale Woodruff. He's a friend, good captain and a pretty nice guy.
