You're a "closet" feller. Has nothing to do with the outdoors.

Makarov in the den (table drawer by recliner), RI 10mm in the bedside table drawer, and everything else is locked up.

How do you like your Makarov? Would it work as a carry gun?

The 9x18 is a little weaker than the 9x19 (obviously), mine is an East German model and very well built. It's tight and all metal construction, solid as a rock. I've had it for about 20 years and put probably 1000 rounds through it and it's never failed to go bang or misfeed.

As a carry gun I have and still do carry it on occasion. Typically (since it's a double action) I carry with the safety off in a kydex holster. The only con to this being a carry gun is the weight, it's about like a PPK. Not overly heavy but more so than my LC9, you will notice it on your side.

I have run several hundred rounds of hard ball and a couple hundred of Hornady Critical Defense hollow points and it is EXTREMELY accurate for a $100 gun (now I see they are running $400 or more). For carry and here at home it has the Hornady in it.

At the current pricing I still think they have lots of value, far better than some of the other military surplus that's out there.

Exactly, which should have given it all away that I have never owned anything but shotguns/rifles for hunting.

Taurus 605 .357 magnum and a speeloader is always on me.

SW SD9 with an extra magazine always in the night stand.

3 more handguns in a drawer and various handguns and long guns in the den gun cabinet if need.

No ARs though. Have the ammo stockpile with an old bolt action already if I ever buy one though.
