My friend is looking to sell two 40-acre tracts of timberland in SW Hinds county with mature timber and good hunting. Who are some good agents, brokers in the area that can get some eyes on the land?

I’d look at Tom Smith. They do a lot of land sales

Brad Farris / Chipper Gibbes with Whitetail Properties are the best in that area. They work together, so they would jointly handle the sale.

Check out National Land Realty LLC. There are offices in Jackson, Hattiesburg, Oxford, Kosciusko to name a few. Good pros!

Chipper Gibbes is a great recommendation. Slade Priest has built up a hell of a following as well but a little more Claiborne county and south but still worth looking into.
