You can’t but for some reason you won’t accept that

Yes and it also says all animals, which would mean fish, dogs, cats, etc.... I think you are missing the next part of the clause.
Correct, it appears to be an ambiguous statement so no point in arguing it here. You need to go bring it up at a meeting.

Stop arguing needlessly cause some are interpreting that statement in a manner that does not agree with what youn want.

It's a shame what has happened to the good people of La. And you too, Chad.

There are literally millions of acres that a person in La could go and raise a ton of chickens. Eat eggs like a crazy person.

good people of La.
Funny you say good people. I think of good people as possessing a trait of caring about the people around them and not challenging others by trying to find a technicality in a pretty obvious rule.

Those are my kind of good people, I also think good smart people that want chickens would not move into an area where those around them have already made it pretty goddamn clear they dont want livestock or poultry in their hood, right or wrong.

Moms neighbor wanted to have a few chickens and ducks, and she said sure no problem. The other neighbor also agreed and their lots backed up to a vacant field. The lots were deep so no real smell issues but damn the flies

You really couldn't be more wrong here.

Chickens are a fricking mess and are typically associated with poor neighborhoods.

you are literally too stupid to insult with this statement.

Not getting into the language, the covenants in my neighborhood don't mention poultry specifically like yours but the rest is the same. We have 4 and they're named.

They don't stink.
They aren't noisy.
My neighbors have no idea that we have them except when we hand them eggs.

the builder of the house next to me (I sold him the lot) tried to start some shite with me but I threatened to sue him for harassment and the HOA was actually on my side (more because they hated the builder).

In what parts of the USA is a hen a usual pet? Not just a pet, but a usual pet?

In what parts of the USA is a pig considered a usual pet?

You have already said that would be good to go under the language.

Show us how a hen does fit that exception

I have several times in this thread

People raise them as pets. Local court ruled in favor of homeowner under the term "house pet". etc...

quote:

What percentage of hen ownership per capita equals "usual". I know that if I go over to someones house and they have chickens I would think that interesting and unusual.

What percentage of people own bearded dragons, turtles, etc...? if I went over to someones house I would think its unusual because its not a normal pet, that however doesnt mean its not a pet.

quote:

The fact that no one in this thread agrees that poultry fits the exception should be an indication of how the HOA will view your case on hens being an exception

Well that is incorrect, please go back and reread thread

quote:

They listed poultry for a reason.

my god, they also said every animal, was that for a reason as well? You guys are so hung up on poultry but just brush other things they listed as well, like the first word after "no".

I am done with thread. I knew some wouldget hung up on the first half of the clause, despite having exceptions. I knew some have incorrect opinions of hens/coups. Like I said previously this is exactly like saying "No Person, man, women, or child can purchase alcohol except if they show I.D. and are above 21 yo" and just saying "no man can purchase alcohol" There is clearly point of exception where a man can purchase alcohol despite being listed in the initial statement. I really just wanted to know if the language in the second half was weak enough and a few confirmed it for me. Since the language is weak, there would still be push on either side, but I dont see how the exceptions could not be honored

Okay and for the hundredth time did they also say "No animals"? if so, what allowing if they are excluding all animals?

But also to answer your question. They are excluding poultry(And all animals, live stock and insects) used for breeding or commercial use, like they stated in the exception

WTF were you expecting? Yes, NYC, you can have a hen, no question?

You will clearly lose for the reasons already stated in this thread and your ability to interpret rules/statutes is poor to non-existent.
