Name is Primetime and they also had the largest whitetail ever in Sudden Impact before he died due to an infection in his antlers...

Heres a video that might make you feel differently about that buck. Check out the 7 minute mark, its pretty pathetic. He was a genetically engineered and hormone infused freak. He couldnt even hold is own head up or walk in a straight line under the weight of the antlers. Others have suggested he died of starvation or the due to the stress of carrying the rack....

Go to the 7 minute mark...

I can't access youtube from work, but I'm not saying I don't feel sorry for him...I know he was genetically enhanced and that was likely the reason the infection started...but he was still a monster.

That's just stupid. You can tell how much that deer is struggling to carry his head halfway up.

Doesn't look he'd do a good job of running down a doe to breed or have enough energy/strength to successfully fight off a rival.

Its just a reflection of the sad state that whitetail hunting is in. The quest for big horns used to mean countless hours of hunting, some travel, and a little luck. Even then, it didnt work out for most folks.

Now you can pick one out of a catalog and negotiate when you'd like to kill him. Freaks like that would never exist if someone wasnt willing to pay big money to kill them. Sad, truly sad...

I agree 100% and it should be about the hunt and the hours spent scounting. I just happened to come across that site and linked it here.

Yep. I'd much rather kill a 130" deer out of the swamps I hunt than kill that in some pen.

Giant whitetail buck grows antlers. I thought only does grew antlers. No wonder I haven't killed a big buck with antlers yet.

True. Paying $$$$ to go shoot a deer in a large pen, while it's eating out of a trough is not hunting, its buying a high priced wall ornament.
