For those that are saying it takes too long to get a charcoil grill ready (I am a green egg/primo fanboy) I can have mine ready to go from not lit in 15 minutes. A gas grill is the same way. The only exception is cooking a thick steak which I want the grill HOT. 800 takes about 40-40 minutes to get there.


I don't have a gas grill anymore. With the primo, I just don't see the point. And yes, it is better.

I'll try to post a pic of my grill later. My puter is messed up right now.

Only reason I have a Primo is we did a group buy at work on the XLs and I was still kicking myself for not buying in on the Green Egg group buy and decided I better not miss out again...

I got the xl Primo for $750 with a couple of tools, so about $550 after taxes. I made a comment on the food board and someone else on here bought one, but I did not want to really promote it. It was a not for profit deal and didn't want to come off that way...

damn...that's a good deal. i got probably twice that tied up in the green egg and various accesories.

Yea, I missed the large Egg order for $550 with accessories, and was kicking myself; so I jumped on the Primo...
