Headed home from a 3 day at Chandeleur on Southern Sport. Fishing was a little slow the first 2 days but yesterday was better. Total for 6 guys was a little over 100 trout. Probably 15 were over 20" and I caught a 26" at 6.5 lbs. Beautiful trout that ate a coastal brew dart in Laguna limeade color. I'll try to post a couple of pics but I usually dont have much luck at posting pics, if someone wants to help me out I could text or email them. I've got better pics that truly show the size but postimage says file type is not supported

Very nice. I’ll be out there is about 3 weeks. Y’all catch them in the surf or the backside?

Both, most down to the south part of the islands fishing cuts in the island.

Fishing was good all over yesterday, we picked up a limit of trout at Breton Island by 8:30. Only had 1 or 2 throwbacks.
Ran to main pass and caught a limit of snapper and headed back to Hopedale at 12:30. Not many days are that productive
Congrats on your PB

Most were caught wading cuts on the south of Katrina cut. Some gulf side and some on the inside. Caught a few on the grass beds around redfish point.

I didn't have a net so I was trying to baby her up to the beach. When I could see her size I was shocked and freaked out. A few guys were 100 yards away watching and we're joking that I either had a really nice fish or I had to take a shite. The captain with us said they only wish I could get a different picture to load that really shows the size, but i cant figure it out.about 2 fish a year like that at the islands.

We were with Island charters out of Biloxi, so we didn't run a small boat to the islands.

the day i caught the 25" trout we were catching 20" trout but that one looked so much bigger than the others. I would have a heart attack if i didn't have a net

Good perspective with the pic you posted.
Most times you'll see the fish 2 ft. closer to the camera from the person holding it to try to make it look even bigger.
