I took my daughter to the store today to run a few errands and get out of the house. Went to leave then went back in and grabbed my pistol and put in my waistband. I don’t carry all the time, but here lately have been quite a bit.

Fast forward and we left Target in Hammond apparently mins before the a-hole went in with a gun.

I will not leave my house unarmed for the foreseeable future. I mean, had I gone back for one more thing I would’ve been in a situation where I had to protect my 8 year old. Just keep thinking how mad at myself would I be having my CC card in my wallet and my pistol sitting at home.

It won’t even be a second thought going forward. Stay frosty, folks.

I have my CCL in my pocket right now and the gun is out in the car. I need to figure out a way to carry in athletic shorts.

Me too. Think i'm going with the Alien gear belly band. I don't like not carrying when i'm riding my bike or running.

I have a vedder holster. It carries deep and I can put it in my shorts comfortably. Got one for both my Glock 42 and XDS

Sticky holster and a lightweight firearm like an LCP is the way to go. I have a bellyband as well, and have had no issues with it.

I have a ruger ec9s and one of those gun hide pocket holsters. It does OK in athletic shorts.

Do you carry with the claw on it? I took it off of mine.

My problem is I drive a company vehicle everyday. Otherwise, I have a P365 in a Black Arch Protos Holster and a Ruger LC9s in a Clinger holster. Both are great.

Just signed up for a concealed carry class. I've been meaning to do it, but the recent craziness has convinced me to be better prepared outside of the home.

I'm thinking I will start. I typically keep 92fs in the truck but it's too big to carry. All I have other than that is a little Beretta 25, a Ruger mk3, and a 22 short.

Any recommendations for a 9mm carry? Preferably not a Glock, just not a fan.

fits discretely in a backpack or briefcase...and won't destroy your hearing.

Belly band. I hate a pistol flopping around in the pocket of my gym shorts.

Belly band is an option. Gives you a stiff belt substitute that you can wear as high or as low as you want and allows you to carry an IWB or OWB hoster independent of your pants/shorts/etc.
