hydrocotyl

I was thinking hydrilla,

not very familiar with aquatics. Are those similar.

Nope. Hydrilla is a submerged aquatic. You won't see it above the surface, unless it's somewhere they are drawing down to kill it. It's similar to coontail grass. Hydrocotyl grows in air (although I think there may be one species that's submerged). It's in everyone's yard and flower beds right now. Atrazine kills it in lawns, but everytime I need to poison something in a waterbody I have to look it up. I don't know all those aquatic poisons off the top of my head.

Yea, it works just the same kind of like a registered full automatic weapon and an unregistered one you just don't want to be caught with one of them.

Good to know. Now I don't have to study it.

I believe it's known as salvinea weed, we had to break our levee and drain our pond to get rid of it. Good luck

Nope, it's penny wort, a lot like dollar weed. Salvania is almost impossible to get rid of unless you take drastic measures like you did in draining pond. But FYI when it comes back, spray with gasoline. I hear cooking oil works also, but I haven't tried it yet.
