I'm out here in Visalia CA, one of the conservative areas of the state, for a week. Yesterday I went into Sportsmans Warehouse to browse. One guy was buying a Beretta pump shotgun, cerakote 28" barrel, nothing tactical about it. I moved around the store and came back and saw this same guy holding a receipt and asked if he was still waiting. He replied no, his purchase was finished but he had to wait 10 days to come back for the gun. Not a minute sooner. He said that's California for you!

A young guy was picking up 3 cases of dove loads. When the employee opened the boxes I saw they were all steel dove loads and of course asked about them. He said they weren't allowed to use lead for any hunting, period. The customer had to show his birth certificate and DL to pickup the shells because he didn't have a special golden bear license or some shite.

A third guy had been standing around waiting like me and we got to talking. He had just finished taking the California firearm safety test, a 30 question test that you have to take to buy a gun here. The employee told him the certificate was good for 5 years BUT if he loses the certificate before it expires, the only person that can reissue that certificate to him is the exact same employee that issued it to him initially. Nobody else, not another SW employee, nobody but him.

I just couldn't get over what I was seeing and hearing here. These guys were telling me it's because of their commie government obviously and aren't happy with it but they still choose to live here.

Lastly, their 10 round mags, pictured below. The employee said that in order to own the 10 round mag your AR could not be modified, no pistol grip, etc. I don't know much about ARs so maybe I misinterpreted what he said.

They asked where I was from and I replied saying I lived in Alabama and we don't have any of this shite. It feels like I was in a foreign country.

I have heard about that before. In no way does that aspect hold up to legal challenge.

There are some beautiful areas in that state. Such a shame what it has become.

Hunters and Outdoorsmen don't make the laws.

Gavin Newscum and his cronies, who have never loaded a gun, are putting laws in place.

You can steal anything up to $900.00, without penalty, but you can't buy a box of dove loads.

Sales of diesel RVs over 8500 is about to be banned in California, along with like six other states that joined their climate plan.

No you didn’t mishear. They make you have this goofy arse hybrid grip on ARs that does nothing but make it less safe to shoot.

You also have to have featureless grips on your guns

Only reason gun owners have any rights in CA is because of the 2nd Amendment. And the gov there is constantly pushing the envelope to violate it.

One of my good buddies keeps threatening to. The only reason he doesn't just pack up and leave is because his family is there an he enjoys being an uncle.

He literally hates everything about California except his family
