Bug and tar remover?

What can I use to get bug and tar residue off my truck? I have tried all the commercial stuff with little success. Is acetone too harsh if applied in small amounts?

Those bugs from Lake Pontchartrain? I tried everything I could think of, including my cranked up pressure washer. Had to clay bar and compound them out
Tar comes off with WD40

I use the bug remover from Chemical Guys. Spray it on and let it sit for a couple minutes and you can wipe the bugs off with a towel.

Baking soda and water won’t take the bugs off? It takes lovebugs off.

proactive and prevention after you get the bugs off is to spray front bumper, grill and front of truck with PAM...

WD40 and a Bounce dryer sheet.

turtle wax makes a good one but its hard to find. Its not a spray bottle but a foam can.
When you wash your vehicle down before cleaning spray the foam all over the grill and let it work a little.
works great for bugs not so much for tar.

For bugs, particularly “love bugs” I find a wet fabric softener sheet works best.
For tar I’ve used WD 40 and elbow grease.

Magic eraser works pretty good but keeping your paint cleaned and waxed is the key once you get them off.

Don't use magic eraser on your paint. It's basically fine sandpaper

Turtle wax foam for the little bugs. I think I got it at pep boys.

wd40 takes it right off and doesnt strip off the wax or harm your paint

Don't use Acetone it will ruin your paint. Also don't use baking soda or fabric softer sheets they are all abrasive and will scratch your paint.
I use this with this
The trick is to let the bug and tar remover to sit for awhile.
