Looking for something affordable that will last a couple of seasons. Probably 2-3 game cameras. I do my due diligence with everything so I will be researching different options while seeing what people here suggest.

I’ve had 10 or so over the last 5 years. Spent average of $50 or so each, for them all. I’ve come to understand they are disposable.....not sure the price point you need to pay to get them to last more than 3 years and be reliable. Any input?

Agree on the stealth’s. Heck I got family members who use the wild games and they seem to never have the problems you read about.

Not sure what you consider budget but I’m using a couple Spypoint Link Micros. Paid $100 for each of them and get the pics sent straight to my phone

Seems like cell cams are still a big hit or miss. I bought a cheap tasco at walmart that does decent. Bought a campark t45 off amazon for 54 and like it alot. Takes better pics than the tasco but also twice as much. Gonna give the cell cams another season or two to see if they can be made to be more reliable.

I have a Primos that was cheap, easy to use and takes good pictures.

I have a $100+ browning that takes decent pics

A $100 moultrie that is garbage as it is always blurry

And a $50 wild game that takes the best pics of the bunch go figure

I have 2) SPYPOINT micros I put them in the places I hunt that are hard to get to, to reduce the unnecessary time I have to spend there. Set it to send pics twice a day and the batteries will last about a month. I also have a couple stealth cams the wife picked up at Sams I think it was 99$ for a pack of two and came with a card reader you plug into your phone.

Check out apeman trail cameras on amazon. Wife got me one for Christmas for $35 after an online coupon. I can’t speak on the durability since I will be putting it out today, but it took pretty good pictures around the house and yard

This is a great realization I haven't thought about. I've used a wide variety of cameras at different price points and they are all disposable eventually. Finding the sweet spot on price and length greatly depends on if you use them year-round. The heat wears out cameras way faster than cold. Try to keep cameras in the shade and not facing the sun during the hot months.

I've had good success on the upper end ($100+) Moultrie and Bushnell cameras. These usually last 3 year going year-round. Lately the cheaper ($50-$100) Stealth Cams have done really well.

Wireless trail cameras are all dependent on the cell coverage where you hunt. The more expensive cameras typically have better antennas and work in lower cell coverage areas better than the cheaper ones. However, the $400-$500 wireless cameras still won't be sending pictures in no signal areas.

I find if you take the batteries out when not using the camera they tend to last a lil longer

hijack.... but since the stealth cams have come up in numerous replies... I have 4 of these... 2 of them take photos every minute; doesn't matter if I have them set on the "qset" or custom set... takes a photo every minute... so when I go check I have thousands of photos to try to scroll through (which also results in the sd card being full and killing of battery life)... they will take a pic of any game or man walking by also but after the game leaves, it goes back to taking a photo of nothing every minute... (doesn't matter the location, and I make sure nothing is tripping it, like a limb, or even grass and such)... anyone had these issues? any fix that I don't know about? tia for any thoughts?

... end of hijack

Yes, I have two of the stealth cams and most of the time both take pictures every damn minute no matter what until the battery dies. I thought it might be the wind moving stuff and the cameras were just really sensitive but I have moved them and still the same thing. If they aren’t doing that then they are taking nearly zero pictures. Hate them
