This.

It may call for a bonding agent as well, its often called monkey milk out in the field. and use a sponge to "paint" the mortar on.

I'm thinking of doing a lime wash to my brick

We are in the process of lime washing our house. We kept going back and forth if we wanted to do it or not because we don’t hate the color of our brick, but after getting the front of the house done we really like it. Even had a stranger driving down the street stop and say how cool it looked and asked how we did it.

It is a lot cheaper than paint, can be washed off completely within 5 days if you don’t like it, idiot proof to apply and easy to touch up if you have to. It took us about 3 hrs just to do the front which isn’t that bad.

To each there own obviously, but I never understood why you pay $400-500 per thousand for bricks only to cover them with mortar. Brick layers love it though cause they can be messy with their mortar joints.

This x100. It’s perfect for crews of Messicans who don’t have any craftsmanship though. They can brick and house in no time. I know an old brick layer that refused to do that sloppy shite and would only tool joint or rake the joints. Then he acid washed the shite out of it. He is currently out of business

Well, you can use what ever left over bricks that you have which will be cheaper for the owner. Up here, every house is brick. Gives people a house that is a little different that all the others.
