I’ve heard that the Alexandria zoo is pretty good if you’re looking to drive somewhere.

Your kids will love it. Yeah it's in a shitty part of town. Just go to the Zoo and get what you need on your side of the river if you need to stop.
No its' not the best zoo in the world, but i promise you're kids will enjoy seeing tigers and monkeys up close, and the giraffes, and play on the playground, and pet the goats, and feed the ducks/turtles, and see the deer, and go in the tunnels to see the prairie dogs.
That's assuming you can do most of those things in this "new normal" world we live in.

Yes I went last week. Very fun experience place was clean and animals were active.

We go a few times a year. Kids love it. It's definitely not the best, but it's a good time spent with the family for a few hours.

I think it’s worth it. It’s obviously not the San Diego zoo, but your kids will enjoy it!
