I dont have Tiktok but would go on there to get some ideas from this guy. He does good work and has perfect explanations of what components to use and how to put them together.

My first one was so easy, I am about to do the small 6x9 boxes with the linkable amps.

I have a real one, granted it was free, but they are awesome. They float and are completely waterproof, we had ours just floating next to the tubes on the Comal jamming out. Pretty much played nonstop all weekend and still had battery left. You can also link two together and it's loud AF

TB's are popular, and expensive, for a reason. They're friggin legit. 2 years on my Gen 2 TB and loving it.

Not only that, the customer service is great. I had a gen 2 I think and the battery sort of sucked. After a year I emailed them to see if they could see what the issue was. They sent me a brand new one for free after the warranty expired. New one works like a dream, we've used mine and my friends tailgating this year (with the paired), and I haven't had to charge mine yet. Great product.

I don’t understand the Turtle Box hype

They’re indestructible, loud, excellent range, and the customer service is 10/10.

I use mine almost daily in horrible conditions and they never stop working. Hell I’ve had my fox pro e callers go down in the Arkansas mud snow goose hunting and my turtle boxes just keep rolling. They’re expensive, yes, but they’re a speaker you will have for decades regardless of what you put them through.

ZK1001B

This model will pair 2 together.

If you want to pair more than that you will need to use a TinySine brand amp.

You get what you pay for. Didn’t think I had any need/ reason for one, but kids have me one and I have used the hell out of it. Nice to not have to worry about dropping it, getting wet etc. As a side note the story turtle box is putting out on social media about the boat that sank, washed up and the salvage guys found the turtle box was my cousins boat/ t box

I have a JBL speaker it looks like a skinny football maybe 10” long. We dropped it in the water twice last kayak trip and it has been left out in the sun and rain many times. Not a hiccup

My son made one out of a knock-off pelican case from Harbor Freight. He has 2-6 1/2" 2 was Skars in it and it's loud and clear. He has almost an unlimited supply of small 12 volt batteries (he's a marine electronics tech) so he keeps a few extra charged up in case the power runs out. He got a Bluetooth amp off Amazon to power it. All in, he had the speakers and batteries he's at about $70.

I scooped up this one at Costco a while back for $80, it’s probably not as loud or as good as a TurtleBox but it’s spent the last 6 months booze cruising the beach in Grand Isle, blaring tunes while we ran crab traps and my kids knocking it over, still rolling. I call it the Tortoise Crate.

Check out the facebook page called "Built not bought boombox". I have made 4 of them so far out of the harbor freight 2800 size boxes and some polk marine 6x9 speakers and they sound great. All the info you will need is on there. Check out the featured tab at the top and they have build lists of everything you will need. Theres also a youtube channel the same name with videos showing how to do it. I'm not tech savvy by any means and have made 4 so far. All using diff brand drill batteries. Everything can be purchased on amazon also besides the harbor freight boxes.

Agree. I'd just spend the $400 for the turtlebox all day before spending $300 and spending all the time to make that pelican case version.

FYI...my son has a turtlebox and loves it!

I have the JBL version and love that too. There's lots of waterproof options out there.
