How long would you Baws say refrigerated boiled crabs are good for? I did a batch last Friday night and still have 2 dozen or so left today (were refrigerated Friday night). I mentioned to my Podna that I need to eat those tonight and he was like "good luck wit dat; you'll have the shits for week if you eat them". Thoughts?

I would easily a month to six weeks. I boil crabs often and the wife always has them in the freezer. I boil mine backed and cleaned so its as easy as putting them in Ziplocs when we are finished.

Pretty much my rule of thumb too when it comes to leftovers.

No food is worth risking food poisoning over in my opinion, and those that don't agree probably have never had a bad case of food poisoning.

That shite will change your mind real quick.

As long as they are stored upside down, I’d go a week.

How in the world did you go this long with boiled crabs in your fridge? I (or someone else) would have eaten those three times a day till they were gone.

SERIOUSLY!

I'm eating that shite before it has a chance to think about spoiling. Seafood isn't going last at my house. 2 days is the record.

Thanks for the feedback; I was thinking 1 week tops refrigerated. And in regards to as why I still have crabs leftover: My Fireman/crabber Podna called me Friday evening and said he had a basket of crabs if I wanted to come pick them up. The price was right, FREE. Long short: I only had my wife and another couple working on like 50#'s of crabs. I planned to give some to the MIL and Momma the next day but it didn't happen.

Hmm, never had them last that long. If we have to many we pop the tops and freeze them. You can steam them and they are still pretty good after being frozen, but most often they end up in gumbo. I love boiled crabs for breakfast the day after a boil, cold of course.
