I would assume if he entered a contest and won then it would be fraud and could be a felony.
This. Lawyer up or prepare anus. Even then, facts are the facts and it's probably not gonna end well because a hunting ban is for sure and your wallet is going to take a beating.
But them horns are like crack to some folks.

That Sunday morning, he was settling into his stand hauling his bow from the ground when he saw action: a doe came running out of the CRP field out in front of him followed by a big buck.
“I had just hauled my bow up when the buck stopped 25 yards from me. I drew on him but realized the clip holding the haul line was still clipped to my bow and I couldn’t pull it all the way back,” he said. “I had to release, unclip the line and draw again. The buck stopped broadside 20 yards away and I released my arrow
Im assuming this guy got to his stand that morning after it was already daylight or maybe he was in the stand at 5am and it was still dark and had a light to take the shot

Deer hunting is my passion and should probably seek therapy .
With that being said and assuming this cat is innocent until proven guilty, I just don't get the thrill of illegally harvesting a trophy.
