Looking to buy Kabota myself. Rented a couple of the ones from Home Depot but would purchase bigger model.

John Deere is the market leader for a reason. Kubota makes pretty good machines but Deere is the best in the business.

Lest not forget case IH. The farmall models will give both Deere and Kubota a run for the money and reliability.

Not even close. John Deere doesn't even sell half the under 100 hp tractors Kubota does in LA

And here is a man who knows equipment. The C series Farmalls were designed to be Kubota killers- it shows when you get on one.

You'll never see a ton of them out there though- Case IH is too busy kicking Deere around in the 4WD business.

The big ones have leather seats if that means anything.

Seriously- when it comes to BIG stuff- 300+ hp Case IH beats everyone.

The small stuff is good as well, but the brand focuses on big equipment.

Funny side story- the littleish tractors (95 hp +) have the same exact controls as the 600 hp ones so an operator can jump from tractor to tractor on the farm and not have to think about where whatever button he wants to press is.

Pricewise, would be right at Kubota sometimes a bit more.

So from what I see here, mahindra doesn't get much love. Why is that?

After running millions and millions of dollars of equipment, JD completely kicks IH's arse.

Mahindra is made in India
I much rather spend a few dollars more a buy a Kubota made in Japan. I think some of the JD engines are made by Mahindra or somebody else. Kubota makes all of their parts.

You can buy a used big (big being relative not big for row crop) tractor for the money you spend on a little one like a Kubota.

IMHO if you have any land at all to look after get at least 100hp.

You ask this on July 4th? Deere is the only answer.

Its also the only answer every other day of the year.

Beam is right. As far as large tractors go, JD is top notch and it isn't close.

Smaller tractors are another matter though, IMHO.

All y'all saying this need to get off your 8R and put your planter behind a Rowtrac anything.

I have watched more guys in South LA switch from green to red in the last 10 years, it's mind blowing.
