It's been years since I've been and I'm hoping to make a couple hunts in a few weeks. Is there a better time of the day to go? Is there an early flight like ducks? Or is it good throughout the day? Also, how big of a role does weather play in how they act? TIA, just tryin to figure out how it's gonna play out.

The first day.

After that I like early morning and late afternoons. But rarely go after the first few days.

Morning around 7-8 and afternoon from 5-6. That's when it seems like they are thick.

Generally, you're wasting time before 3:15, but I've had two hunts where I shot at 12:01 and was done by 12:30. Something unusal was going on for those.

Weather. If it's raining during the day, look out when it stops.

I find they are most active early am (before 10) and in the evening.

First thing in the morning until you get too hungry to stay out there.

Go eat, get beer, ice down beer, take a nap till 2 or 3, sit on icechest, shoot limit of doves, drink beer and pluck doves.

the more guns and bird dogs you have out there the better. with that said i have a gun and a bird dog hanging around the house.

but seriously if you are hunting a large field the more guns you have to keep them flying the better

No shite, cause if you hunt a field by yourself, the doves are going to land on the other side of the field. FACT!!.....Jack!!

Those are great, especially when they flush everything towards you.
