I have a friend that swears by this

I've always used a wet rock (Arkansas stone) with good results.

My WorkSharp is the best that I ever owned. The rest were the small blue and white AccuSharps that would destroy blades.

That's what my bud says. I tried it out and after a few swipes I had a pristine edge. But it felt like it was taking a lot of metal off the edge.

For $80 on Amazon, I'm thinking of grabbing one to add to my pile of sharpeners. Just never paid that much for one!

Yeah, but don't you have to take a class for that thing?

Arkansas stone with 5 in 1 oil and patience. I've had friends show me other ways and it normally ruins my knife.

I've got a Lansky kit but I can't get it to grip down on my smaller knives. Also have the case 3 stone sharpener. It does a good job, but of course it takes time.

Go in cabelas to the worksharp display and sharpen a knife or 2 on the one they have sitting out. Pretty good edge on that thing.

Work Sharp for work knives, daily carriers, tools, cheap kitchen knives.

Wicked Edge** for cleaning / skinning knives, nice kitchen knives, collector / heirloom knives.

**don't you dare judge me, I won it in a raffle. I did not pay that price you are about to see when you look it up.

Yea, the old way is still the best way.

Takes no time at all once you get good at it.

Yea but I like my knives to be sharp enough to have hair with and I have 5 or 6 knives that I will use. Ive used the work sharp but didn't really like it so looking for something else. Will that classic II get a knife sharp enough to shave?
