I have been considering both Muck and Alpha Burly. Your thoughts? TIA

Lacrosse is the only real answer

Lacrosse, with their ankle fit are hard to beat, if you walk ALOT. But, if you value putting on, and taking off, pretty good comfort, and the ability to tuck bibs, or coveralls in your boots with ease,,, Muck is the answer..

i have only used lacrosse but have tried mucks on before. you cant go wrong with either brand. both are high quality boots for the price.

My buddy and I were on a bowhunt in Illinois several years ago, couldn't drive across all these dang fields, so we had to walk across cut corn, it seemed like for miles, up and down hills and creeks, carrying bows and climbers..At night, we had to pull off each others Lacrosse boots, in our room. Probably had some funny noises coming out of that room.. When you get older and fatter, they're harder to get off.
Switched to Muck as soon as I got back home...

My dad has a pair of those cook, his old arse pulled a muscle in his leg trying to get them off and couldn't walk for two days.
I use a pair of redhead 600gm thinsulates from BPS. Just regular old insulated water boots. They work great.

I got Lacrosse and Muck boots. Muck boots are more comfortable but make your feet sweat more imho.

What are these socks you speak of?

at least cut the toe ends off, so your dawgs don't sweat. having your toes sticking out makes it easier to climb those power poles on the edge of Wares field.
