Psa ks47 (762x39) is the answer. Cheap rnds, more punch than 556 & not much recoil. 308 is awesome but too damn heavy.

7.62x39

My 45-70 got so many downvotes. Do people really have bad experiences with this round and killing hogs?

People don't typically like hunting 90lb animals with an elephant gun...

45-70 is just about as un tactical as you can get. It looks like popular opinion is something AR15 style for pigs.

For $300. I bought a Bear Creek 7.62x39 upper for my AR. Shoots great, ammo is reasonable, recoil is minimal. Ships directly to your house

.223 will kill them just fine if you put it in their ear. .300blk is my preferred round but I alternate between .223, .300blk, .308, and 7.62x39.
I would go 7.5” .300blk with 1:5 twist.

Sorry. Didn't know OP needed something tactical. Haha

In my experience, guys that have a good 45-70 lever action are well above average in firearm knowledge.

The only thing that gets recommended for anything around here these days is tactical shite

I hunted with a guy using a 300 blackout and I had a single shot 45-70 in MS in January. He was swimming through cold arse ponds and all over tracking the deer he shot. Maybe it was the round he was using but it didn't seem very effective. I would use 7.62 in an AR platform though if Op wants an AR.

Ruger Ranch comes in 7.62... 16" barrel. Super light weight.

It is a pain in the arse to get a rotting hog carcass out of a combine. Also had one get wrapped up in the disk. Was truly a disgusting deal to get it cleaned off.

Not from me. It’s a hog. Shoot it with anything you want. 50BMG if you got it.
