Watching shark week with Brad Paisley and showing sharks like music (actually they like the vibrations which sound like struggling fish)

So what are your go to fish attracting songs? When trolling I like AC/DC back in Black and various heavy metal. For inshore my go to is John Denver.

Lately when running juglines I been listening to Lil Wayne or Kodak Black. When bass fishing I'm normally listening to George Strait or Dave Stamey type music. Guess it depends on my mood.

music, more often then not, just chases off the larger, and by experience, smarter fish, so you catch more small fish then other boats will that are being quiet

aww, look at the clueless downvoters who still dont know why other boats catch more fish then they do

Reggae

When I was just a wee lad the only station that came in clear in Biloxi Marsh was WTIX and I still play it out there for nostalgia sake.

I always play Fish On by Primus when me and my oldest head out to go fishing.

quote:

Felt a pang late one afternoon
I was fishin' off Muir beach
With Larry LaLonde
I grabbed a tuna salad sandwich
And I started to chew
Pretty soon Ler's yellin

Fish on
Fish on

I was just a little pup
And it was derby day
It was dad and me and Darrell
Out in San Pablo Bay
Taco-flavored Doritos
And my orange life vest
Dad caught a hundred pound sturgeon
On twenty-pound test
Now, he fought that fish for 'bout an hour and a half
Darrell'd say, "Jump, you sons a bitch!"
And he grabbed for the gaff
When we got him in the boat
He measured six feet long
I was so danged impressed
I had to write this song called

Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on

It was a bright sunny day
It was me and Todd Huth
Fishin' shark and stingray
Out of Bolinas Lagoon

Well, hey, hey, hey
I'll be screwed blued and tattooed
Looks like I got me one of them

Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on
Fish on

I’ll take no shoes radio on xm or some Jack Johnson, zac brown band. I can get down with lil Wayne or whatever but not when relaxing and fishing. Also prime country .

Wade fishing, I’m being serenaded by the wind, waves and seagulls.

In da marsh, it’s Gumbo or….

Offshore, it’s SiriusXM Jimmy Buffett or a playlist of classics downloaded with Southern Cross -C.S.N. As the genome for the station.

ETA: Tyler Childers on Pandora has been in da boat lately too…

I agree when in shallow water but big offshore tournament fisherman will pay premium money for certain boats not styles but actual boats that have good harmonics and catch more fish, and put devices on boats to submit special sounds to attack billfish etc.

When trolling in 100 feet or more we have played around with it and it seems the vibrations of heavy metal attract the most fish. Of course we don’t start playing around with this until after an hour or so of nothing.

The John Denver situation is totally different. I have noticed when hunting I always see more animals when I am able to get out of predator mode. When I can relax and just chill become part of the woods. My best guess is that when I am not relaxed I am giving off some clue pheromone or something that tells them something is off. John Denver relaxes me (through one headphone) and therefore I see more deer etc.

I have tried it with fishing too, and it may be just coincidence but it seems to work too. Maybe fish can sense us too, no clue. Maybe it’s just mind over matter of just me thinking this works. Starting doing it as a joke but wtf, if it works it works

Fished around lake boeuf on Saturday and every boat I passed or that passed me and every camp dock had 94.9 on. It was like I was listening to tee nah nah in Dolby 7.1 surround.

I have a “fish on” playlist when we go offshore and the first five songs in a shuffle include:

Astronaut in the Ocean by Masked Wolf
Hells Bells by AC/DC
Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith
More Human than Human by White Zombie
Sail by Awolnation

Inshore, I need to create a less intense track list.
