F150 and Tundra have huge rear seats. Not that the Ram and GM are tiny.
Do the new Chevy and GM's still have that hump on the floor in the back? That's one thing I really like about the F150. Flat floor.

On the 2015 yes. I was waiting on a 2016 GMC, but picked up a F150 instead. I can only assume that the 2016 GMs have it too.

I'm kind of in the same boat as the OP. I have 2 young ones in car seats and my '06 Silverado extended cab is a PITA to get them in and out of. I have no allegiance to any particular brand. But that might be what makes me buy a Ford.

I have owned a Ram 1500, Wrangler, F150, F250, and now a F150. I was going to get a GMC this go around, but it didnt make sense. Around 5k more and less features.
I like the 3.5 Ecoboost more than the 6.2 that my first F150 had. The back seats on both appear to be the exact same, huge.

You still contemplating a gas 250? Will the gas tow more than the 3.5?
For 2017 the interior of the F250 will match the F150, in terms of size.
I'm on the fence of going back to a 1/2 ton since I doubt I'll ever tow more than 6K, unlees I get an enclosed racecar trailer (need the car first).
I just like how the how the F-250 looks.

There's a reason most construction company trucks are Chevy/GMC. Get a Silverado/Sierra 1500 crew cab. Get the two wheel drive with a locking rear differential. 2wd is also available with Z71 suspension if you like. Why pay for and maintain 4wd parts you don't need on a daily driver?

Not for a few years.

Yes. 10,000 vs 15,000. Approx.

Finally. Odd that the 250/350 was the smaller of the two.

Exactly.

The 3/4 ton trucks all around look nice, and will pull a house, but damn for a daily driver it feels like your driving a logging truck and rattles your damn teeth on most south Louisiana roads.

Thats why I was even looking at a Ram 2500 for a while. Rear coils and airbags make it a more than capable truck while riding like a 1500. I was hoping that Super Dutys would follow suit too.

I have a another friend that feels the same way. We oughta do a group purchase.
Then we'll do a group purchase on a gas station.

I am 44 and do not care anything about lifts or taking the truck off road. I need 4 wheel drive, four doors, and a V-8...
Get a Sierra Denali with the 6.2 and call it a day.

Why do you need 4wd?
I live in Virginia now and it snows a lot up here.

Nissan Titan could be a good option.
I have had 2 Nissan in the past, but that new Titan is BUTT UGLY!

Denali 6.2, Exactly what I wanted.
5k more than my F150.
Takes premium fuel.
No panoramic sunroof.
Maybe has Adaptive Cruise Control.
No Lane assist.
Smaller back seat.
Goofy arse steps.
Cylinder deactivation stuff that I did not want.
Newish transmission.

Last time I checked, the Chevys and GMCs were assembled in Mexico. Anyone know if they still are and are Fords and RAMs assembled in the USA? Nissans are in Mississippi and Toyotas are in Texas.

6.2
This made up the difference for everything on your list, much of which I don't see as negatives. I nearly bought a Tundra, but driving the Denali sealed it for me.

transmission or power steering fluid leak
I'm not positive but I think the f150's now use electric power steering, so no fluid. I know this because a buddy just replaced the electric steering on his '12 f150 43k miles. About $1,500 all said and done.

Denali 6.2
Love it, but does not have the rear room of the new F series, as you know.

I feel like they have this sorted out, but I don't like it at all.
Here's a YT showing about 14 MPG highway, real world, on a gas 6.2 F-250.

Obviously, you can buy a lot of gas for the cost of the diesel upgrade (around $8K).

Can't disagree... That's a fine engine.
