Council tool velvicut is American made

Granfors bruk is from Scandinavia. Probably better but certainly more

This is assuming you don’t get an old ax someone has redone

Granfors supposedly.

I used to be a axe swinging SOB back in my college days. Always wanted a nice splitting maul but all I ever had was a big heavy bitch from tractor supply. Worked good enough.

Watching Buckin Billy Ray who splits wood with a double sided Michigan axe, I have become less a believer in heavy splitting heads

Is this for murdering people or cutting up bodies after the fact? Splitting wood or skulls?

Stihl makes excellent hard-use general purpose axes. If you want something lighter for camping use look at Husqvarna, $70 on Amazon for a hand forged Swiss-made axe is a hell of a deal.

This is completely true. I think of an axe to cut down trees, etc. Think of a maul when splitting wood.

Www.vintageaxeworks.com is something like I was talking about. But def not cheap

I have an old double-bit Tru-temper and it's great. Gave a very old cast cruiser double-bit to a friend I found buried in an old shed. Kept the single-bit I found with it and hung it with a new ash handle.

This, but you won’t be getting one anytime soon, unless on the secondary market.

Dude it’s an artist and can get whatever he wants for his work.

I have 3 on that list. All the Eastwings.

The double bit stays in my truck.
