I've been using The Augila for a while, and it's fine, but I'm going to stop buying stuff made in Mexico.
What's the boards suggestion? CCI?
I use to deliver lead to their factory in Lewiston,Idaho sometimes, cool place to visit.

The ones that go bang. What you got against the MESSICAN ammo?

Buy a box of each and see which shoot best.

CCI is the only ammo that cycles properly in my .22 semi-auto, so my vote goes to them. Winchester .22 Wildcat is fine in my single-shot and bolt action.

Cci standard velocity is my go to for accuracy.
Whatever is cheapest on the shelf is my plinking ammo.

This.
Each .22 gun has it’s own best ammo.

Watched a guy testing some match grade 22 at the range this past Friday.
At 50 yards, with a "match'd out" Volquartsen Custom 10/22, on a windy day, he put 3 rounds of this stuff in a group smaller than a dime. It was the best group he got out of 12 different ammo's he tested.

Depends on your gun and what you're doing with it. It takes some experimentation to find the most accurate ammo. Eley is a good place to start, probably.

I like to buy in bulk, and I have about 10 different .22 rifles to buy for. Individual ammo for each, that's probably too much to keep up with.
Would prefer to find a good consistent quality and stay with that.

Probably going to give the Eley a try.

Federal Ultra Match always works best for me

It's .22 ammo.........are we really having this conversation?

I like to shoot the most consistent possible. Some ammo is all over the place. You can hear the difference when you are shooting it.

Definitely good conversation to have. On my CZ, I can ring a 3" steel plate at 100 all day (no wind) with Federal UM and Thunderbolts. Anything other than those, and I can't hit shite at 50. I've tried maybe 15 different types of 22LR ammo

I don't shoot a lot of .22 bolt - I'm assuming there is match grade ammo out there for absolute, "shoot the period out of newsprint" accuracy, but CCI - and specifically mini mags is my go to round for autoloaders (and mainly I'm talking about Ruger 10/22).
Bulk ammo from Wal-Mart is very inexpensive, but I always have cycling issues - not 2 or 3 out of a box, but more like 4 or 5 percent.

I have a few different types of ELEY ammo and shoot it in my 10/22's. It is easily more accurate than mini mags. I have never shoot the Lapua ammo but I've heard it is accurate as well.
If you are looking for accuracy out of your .22 ELEY is a good ammo to go with. At 50yds I shoot ragged holes that will all fit on a dime. What usually happens after about 5 rounds is you shoot out the bullseye and your POA grows which leads to your group growing.
