There's a nest at the 69 sign (ha ha 69 ha ha) that has been there for a few years. Almost worth the mile and a half walk from the end of the dirt

Where tf is the end of the dirt? Heard of it but don't think I've made it out there.

End of the mainline in the back. One mile from the canal. Beautiful woods back there.

Beautiful woods or beautiful swamp? Is it on our property?

I'll have to make it back there one day.

Very open cypress.

The actual end of the dirt (end of the railroad tracks) is about 15 feet across the property line I think. The open woods go west to the EBL and east to the pipeline.

There is a nest near the I55/I10 junction off the right hand side if you're southbound on 55.

I saw an eagle in the 310 nest last year, but none since. I check it out everytime I pass.

There are two more nest about a mile south of the 310 exit one. one you can see if you know where to look. Also one more, though its old, just east of 310, just north of the airline exit.

I know of about five more nest in the area. I see these birds nearly once a week this time of year. They are very pretty to look at!

We spotted one on Cross Lake in Shreveport last year and when we were on the Buffalo River in Ark last September. We were close enough that we could hear the wings swooshing when it took off.
