So NO forward grips, not even a hand stop because it facilitates two handed firing...
Every firearms trainer in the world, and every law enforcement agency including the ATF trains shooters to fire a handgun two handed as a primary means of operation. One-handed firing is now a secondary method. Arbitrary BS

Don't you think the government is the one being overly dramatic? They are banning weapons because of the way they look. There's no data backing up their claim of "dangerous."

i like how they charge a point for having sights or no sights.

So if I'm reading part 3 correctly, my 22lr ruger charger with a prism scope automatically accrues 4 points and is considered illegal simply because it has a prism scope.

It's basically setup to catch as many AR pistols as possible. Wonder how long it will be before sub-64oz setups come out?

If this goes through, the simple solution is to remove the stabilizing brace (maybe change out the buffer tube for a smooth pistol tube for good measure), and remove any forward grips. If you use a sling and push the pistol forward to tighten the sling, then you can get surprising accuracy.

Such bullshite. I’m sure criminals I’ll carry this around to constantly monitor the legality of their firearm

yeah, it's been fun, but i'll just replace the KAK tube with a smooth tube and put a foam pad on it and call it a day. unless that will be illegal as well.

13 These point values range from 0 to 4 points based upon the degree of the indicator, explained as follows:
•1 point: Minor Indicator (the weapon could be fired from the shoulder)
•2 points: Moderate Indicator (the weapon maybe designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder)
•3 points: Strong Indicator (the weapon is likely designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder)
•4 points: Decisive Indicator (the weapon is designed and intended to be fired from the shoulder)

This won’t leave any room for weapon used interpretation at all

Thats how they used to teach shooting mp5's with no stocks.

Just a random thought if I owned this type of AR.
So? If I switch to a SB3Mini and remove my sights,
Also rendering the QD socket inoperable.
I'm compliant?

You will never be able to make me understand how a 9mm rifle with a 10” barrel is more concealable/dangerous than a 9mm pistol.

Logic doesn’t work with this because none of this is logical.

To suggest alternatives to pistols you already own is to be a narc in this thread, apparently. According to Scoob on page 1, you’ve wasted your money and will need to dispose of your pistol.

So your weapon must be at least 64oz, but not more than 120oz...when most pistols are far less than 64oz to begin with.
This is just nonsense that some needle necks pulled out of their asses based on zero logic.

Nope. Even if your score is less than 4, the ATF has a disclaimer in the "NOTE:" section at the top of the score sheet that basically says if they feel you're trying to circumvent the laws to make an SBR you is fooked
quote:
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives reserves the right to preclude classification as a pistol with a "stabilizing brace" for any firearms that achieves apparent qualifying score but is an attempt to make a "short-barreled rifle" and circumvent the GCA or NFA.

The proposed rule has been published in the Federal Register. This means the comment period is now opened. PLEASE COMMENT. Heard someone say that if you can't be bothered to at least make a simple comment in defense of our 2A rights, you probably won't pick up a gun to do so either.
